Fairborn police looking for vehicle in trailer theft at church

Fairborn police are looking for a vehicle and a suspect or suspects connected to a trailer theft at Victory Temple Church.

In the early morning of Aug. 14, a Buick Rendezvous stole a tandem axle trailer carrying a John Deere zero-turn mower from the church, 2443 Valle Greene Drive.

The suspect vehicle left the lot, with the trailer, traveling east on Valle Greene.

The stolen trailer is unique, as it is homemade from a boat trailer. It has a “V” shaped frame visible to the rear, as well as a tandem axle with a large utility ramp installed on the back.

It is painted yellow and green with yellow sideboards.

The suspect vehicle is a 2002-2007 Buick Rendezvous, believed to be tan or silver with a trailer hitch.

Earlier that morning, at 5:40 a.m., the same vehicle entered the lot pulling a single axle trailer.

After remaining in the lot for several minutes, the vehicle drove around the building before leaving the lot, traveling north on Valle Greene toward E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road.

A few minutes later, the same vehicle returned with no trailer. The vehicle went directly to the back of the building and hooked up to the tandem axle trailer.

Anyone with information about the suspect vehicle or suspects is asked to call 937-754-3000 or the tip line at 937-754-3018.
