Dayton graphics company prints off Cubs’ World Series shirts

DAYTON — As soon as the final out was recorded in Game 7 of the Chicago Cubs’ 8-7 10-inning World Series victory over the Cleveland Indians early this morning, the staff at Titan Graphics LLC in Dayton went to work.

Workers started printing off World Series Champions T-shirts that will be sent to a distribution center in central Ohio, according to Bob Thomas, vice president of operations for Titan Graphics.

A total of about 12,000 shirts will be printed by 11 a.m. Thursday, he said.

“It’s wonderful,” Thomas said. “Everybody was excited to watch the game, especially when it was as thrilling as it was. … It’s good for the economy of the Dayton area.”

Workers came in about 11 p.m. Wednesday — after most also were in during the day — to watch the end of the game and start printing shirts off right after its conclusion.

Two machines were ready to go — one to print Indians shirts, the other for the Cubs. After the Cubs won, the Indians design was taken out and replaced with a Cubs one.

Thomas said Titan Graphics, at 2725 Needmore Road, also prints shirts off for the NFL, NBA, NHL and collegiate teams. The Super Bowl was the last big event for the company, he said.

Atlantis Sportswear, Inc. in Piqua also is printing off World Series T-shirts.
