Teen shot at the WEBN fireworks in Cincinnati

A teen was shot Sunday night along the Cincinnati riverfront at the Western & Southern WEBN Fireworks, our news partners at WCPO-TV report.

The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. near Broadway and Mehring Way in downtown Cincinnati, near US Bank Arena.

Police said the victim and the shooter were involved in an altercation before the incident occurred in front of hundreds.

Brand Bundy, of Hamilton, hard the gunshots and told the station she saw several people scatter from the scene.

“It definitely was dangerous,” Bundy said. “There are so many families and it’s a family-friendly event, and for someone to do that in such close quarters with half a million people, it’s pretty scary.”

WCPO reports the victim was shot in the shoulder and transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but his condition was not released.
