Riverside police on Sunday morning reported that McComb escaped from custody after he was questioned in a domestic violence case. Police said on Saturday they took a report from a woman who reported being assaulted by McComb, her live-in boyfriend. Officers said they were able to make contact with him early Sunday, and took him in for questioning at the Riverside Police Department.

After he was questioned, McComb ran away from the police station around 4:10 a.m. Sunday before he could be taken to the Montgomery County Jail. He headed south on Ohio 4 towards Stanley Avenue. During the search, police took a report of a stolen vehicle in Riverside, and believe that McComb was responsible. Police said the truck was found in Trotwood, but the driver fled before officers could stop it. Although McComb is facing numerous charges, as of tonight he is not charged with vehicle theft, according to jail records.

Following searches in Riverside, Trotwood, Harrison Twp. and Dayton, which also involved K-9 officers, McComb remained at large and police said he was to be considered armed and dangerous.
