Registered sex offender arrested for raping young boy

Troy police have arrested registered sex offender William Baker for allegedly raping a 5-year-old boy.

Baker, who lives in Piqua, is being held in the Miami County jail on 10 counts of felony rape. His bond was set at $500,000 for all counts.

According to the state sex offender registry, Baker was convicted of raping another child in 2002. He served four years in prison before being released Sept. 11, 2005.

Baker recently moved to Piqua from Troy.

The most recent alleged rape occurred between May and August of this year, according to Troy Police.
