Man wears towel over head during Shell robbery

A robber used a towel to cover his face and threatened he had a weapon during a hold-up at the Shell gas station, 1951 Stanley Ave.

Police responded to the business around 5:40 a.m. and interviewed the clerk, who was visibly shaken and upset, according to the Dayton police report.

The robber entered the store with a towel over his head and a a white sock covering his right hand, indicated he had a weapon concealed under it, according to the report.

The clerk told police the robber approached the counter, passing another waiting customer, and said, “Give me the money now and nobody will get hurt,” according to the report.

Police said the white male, described as 5’6 and 150 pounds, got an undisclosed amount of money from the register and ran out of the store.
