Man indicted in Harrison Twp. fatal shooting

UPDATE @ 2:22 p.m. (Aug. 25)

Key’andre Hombre Danley has been indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury on two counts murder, both with a three-year firearm specification, two counts felonious assault, with a three-year firearm specification, two counts of having weapons while under disability, tampering with evidence, and two counts of improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation.

He will be arraigned Aug. 30.

An arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of Darius Jones. Montgomery County sheriff’s officials confirm Key’andre Hombre Danley has been booked into Montgomery County Jail on a charge of murder.

UPDATE 3:48 p.m (Aug. 8)

A man shot multiple times and found dead on Republic Drive has been identified.

Darius Lamar Jones, 19, of Dayton, was killed in the early Monday morning shooting in the 1900 block of Republic.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has ruled the death a homicide.

UPDATE @ 4:45 a.m. (Aug. 8)

Deputies confirm a man found shot on Republic Drive Monday morning has died.

No other details were released by investigators.

FIRST REPORT

Medics and deputies in Harrison Township have responded to reports of a person shot on Republic Drive Monday morning.

Emergency units were dispatched to the 1900 block of Republic Drive around 3:05 a.m. on reports of a shooting.

The condition of the victim was not immediately known.

Initial reports indicate a K9 officer has been requested to the scene to track a suspect.
