Bomb threat evacuates Warren Co. school for 2nd day

A Warren County elementary school for the second day in a row had classes disturbed by bomb threats deemed not credible.

South Lebanon Elementary School in the Kings Local District had students and staff evacuated just after 1 p.m. Tuesday for a bomb threat.

Bomb dogs swept the building, and students were dismissed a little early, said Dawn Gould, community relations coordinator.

“Identical to the one yesterday,” Gould said of the threat.

Gould said parents were picking up kids around 2:50 p.m. but buses are running on regular schedule.

Students were first evacuated to the playground, and then to a church due to rain.

The building was cleared and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

The school received a bomb threat around 11:51 a.m. Monday as well.

The school serves nearly 500 students in grades K-4.
