Dayton church damaged by fire before Sunday services

UPDATE @ 11:50 p.m.:

The Greater Revelation of Christ Missionary Baptist Church, 1318 Danner Avenue, caught fire early Sunday morning.

News Center 7's James Buechele was live from the Church Sunday night with what neighbors saw.

“I thought it was like a big ol’ 18 wheeler coming through and then I looked out the window and I saw the fire truck out there,” said Linda Stewart, who lives across the street from the church. “The way it looks, it looks like it’s going to be gutted.”

It’s still unknown how much damage was done or what the future holds for this church.
