UPDATE @ 6:45 p.m.: The driver was not injured in the accident, but police tell us he'll be cited for failure to control a motor vehicle.
FIRST REPORT
A car left U.S. 35 East, hit a light pole and continued along a grassy embankment before hitting the U-Haul Moving & Storage of Riverside building, in the 4500 block of Linden Avenue.
The driver is out of the vehicle and is in a medic unit. Whether the driver has been injured is not known.
Riverside police and the medic unit were dispatched about 6:20 p.m. on a report of a vehicle that struck a building.
Traffic in the right lane of U.S. 35 East is slowed because of the accident. The left lane remains open.
