Spot some planets with the family this weekend

Stargazing can be a fun and easy experience to enjoy at any age. This time of year instead of stars, you can actually find visible planets in the night and morning sky.

>>Track the conditions: Live Doppler 7 HD Radar

Through Saturday, conditions will be favorable to spot these planets in the morning and at night.

>>Spring is here and so is more daylight

Morning planets

  • Saturn, Mars and Jupiter
  • Look Southeast between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.
  • They will be clustered together and Jupiter will be the brightest

Evening planet

  • Venus
  • Look West
  • Visible after sunset, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

If you find these planets you will know they aren’t stars because they won’t twinkle! Share your photos with us on our WHIO Facebook Page.
