It’s muggy but not as hot as Heat Advisory expires; storms in the forecast for Friday

DETAILED FORECAST:

THIS EVENING - OVERNIGHT: It will be warm and muggy this evening with a few isolated storms before sunset. Heavy downpours, gusty winds and small hail are all possible. It will dry out into the night with a few lingering clouds. Temperatures will hold to a low around 70, according to News Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs.

FRIDAY: It will be another warm and muggy day with highs around 90 degrees. The heat index will rise into the middle 90s as well.

Scattered showers and storms arrive by mid-morning and last into the afternoon. Heavy rain, gusty winds, and small hail will be the primary threat. Storms will come to an end into the night and lows will be around 70 degrees.

SATURDAY: It will be partly cloudy, very warm and muggy with highs in the upper 80s. A few pop-up showers or storms are possible later on. Most areas will remain dry.

SUNDAY: There will be more clouds around on Sunday with a few showers and storms. There will be highs in the middle 80s.

MONDAY: Expect sun and some scattered clouds around Monday with an isolated shower or storm possible. Highs will be in the middle 80s.

TUESDAY: The heat will turn back up Tuesday with highs around 90 degrees under mostly sunny skies. This appears to be the start of another heat wave through the end of the week.
