If you wake up early this time of year, you might notice a bright-looking star catching your eye in the eastern sky. That is actually the planet Jupiter.

Jupiter rises a little before 5:30 a.m. in the east/southeast sky during the end of November and early December. This week you can also see a dimmer planet even higher in the sky, Mars and rising just before the sun comes up will be Venus.

You don't have the moon to help you find the three planets but if you know to look to the eastern horizon before sunrise (around 7:30 a.m.) you should be able to find Jupiter first, then look for Mars above and Venus below.

If you find the three, take a photo and share using the hashtag #SkyWitness7.
