Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs and Kirstie Zontini sat down with Kristen Cassady who is a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio. She opened up about the impact based warnings that the NWS has implemented this severe weather season. The women also chatted about how to become a storm spotter for the NWS and Kristen’s path to becoming a meteorologist.
Kristen gave an inside look at what it takes to become a meteorologist for the National Weather Service and how their team operates when severe storms are moving through. She was working the night of the Memorial Day Outbreak and shared her experience.
