Poor air quality to continue through weekend; Temperatures return to the 80s

An Air Quality Alert remains in effect for Butler, Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Randolph (IN), Wayne (IN), and Warren counties until 12 a.m. Friday.

DETAILED FORECAST:

TONIGHT: Hazy. Otherwise, there will be a few clouds and a touch cool with lows near 50, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Robert Gauthreaux III.

FRIDAY: Air quality is still poor because of smoke from wildfires. Some bands of thick smoke are possible. Otherwise, mainly sunny and seasonable with highs in the upper 70s.

SATURDAY: Increasing temperatures, back in the mid-80s. Haze continues. Otherwise mainly sunny.

SUNDAY: Rain and storms possible with approaching cold front, mainly by the late evening. Otherwise, most of the day will remain dry with highs in the low 80s and mostly cloudy.

MONDAY: Rain and a few storms in the first half of the day. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s and partly cloudy.

TUESDAY: A shower possible. Otherwise, partly cloudy as high temperatures hold in the mid-70s.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny and seasonable with highs in the low 80s.

THURSDAY: Highs in the mid 80s with a shower possible, otherwise partly cloudy.
