COLUMBUS — What is Urban Meyer allowed to do while on paid administrative leave from Ohio State?
That was revealed Thursday, more than a week after the beginning of an investigation into how he handled domestic violence allegations against an assistant coach.
A university spokesman confirmed Meyer is barred from campus buildings (including the team’s training facility at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center) and he cannot have contact with players or coaches.
Additionally, Meyer does not have access to his school email account or communication devices issued by the school.
He has been on leave since August 1 when a published report alleged Meyer knew receivers coach Zach Smith had been accused of abusing his then-wife, Courtney.
Cleveland.com first reported the terms of Meyer’s leave, which is coinciding with an investigation into how he handled whatever information he might have had regarding the allegations against Zach Smith.
In a statement released Friday afternoon, Meyer said he followed all university protocol.
