Ohio State gets verbal commitment from Pro Football Hall of Famer’s son

Ohio State football received a Halloween treat Thursday morning with the verbal commitment of Marvin Harrison Jr.

The son of Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Marvin Harrison Sr. plays the same position as his famous father, who was a standout for the Indianapolis Colts.

The younger Harrison is considered the No. 8 high school junior receiver in the country according to 247Sports Composite rankings. 
For the class of 2021, Harrison Jr. is a four-star prospect and the No. 54 player in the country regardless of position.

The Philadelphia St. Joseph’s Prep standout is the No. 4 prospect in Pennsylvania and picked the Buckeyes over schools such as Michigan, Florida, Georgia Tech and LSU.

He is the sixth player to commit to Ohio State for 2021, joining high school teammate Kyle McCord, a four-star quarterback, and four players from Ohio: Pickerington North defensive end Jack Sawyer, Richfield Revere offensive lineman Ben Christman, Massillon Washington receiver Jayden Ballard and Ironton linebacker Reid Carrico.
