DAYTON — Dayton Flyers forward Obi Toppin had his third workout with a NBA team on Saturday, sharing photos on Instagram of a Boston Celtics T-shirt and shorts and a short video from the team’s practice facility.

Toppin has announced each of his workouts in a similar way. He previously worked out for the San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Toppin, who led Dayton in scoring with 14.4 points per game last season as a redshirt freshman, announced April 17 he was declaring for the NBA Draft and would go through the pre-draft process while maintaining his eligibility. He’s one of 233 early-entry prospects. He has until May 29 to decide to stay in the draft or return to school. He has three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Toppin was not one of the 40 players invited to the NBA G League Elite Camp, which will be held May 12-14 in Chicago, or the 66 players invited to the NBA Draft Combine, which will be held May 14-19 in Chicago.
None of the four underclassmen from the Atlantic 10 who declared for the draft — Toppin, Davidson’s Kellan Grady and Jon Axel Gudmundsson and Saint Joseph’s Charlie Brown — received an invitation to either camp.
The draft will be held June 20. Dayton’s Kostas Antetokounmpo was the last player selected in the second round in 2018. He was the first Flyer drafted since Negele Knight in 1990.
