DAYTON — Nine days remain until Selection Sunday. The Dayton Flyers, in all probability, stamped their tickets for a fourth straight trip to the NCAA tournament — something UD has never accomplished — with a 79-72 victory Wednesday on Senior Night at UD Arena.

Here’s a summary of where Dayton stands in the NCAA tournament picture:
Dayton (24-5, 15-2) takes a nine-game winning streak into the regular-season finale at 8 p.m. Saturday at George Washington. The Flyers rank 21st (up three spots from last week) in the RPI, 33rd (up one spot) in the Pomeroy ratings, 32nd (up two spots) in the Sagarin ratings, 24th (up four spots) in the KPI Sports ratings and 32nd (up three spots) in ESPN’s Basketball Power Index.
Dayton has four top-50 wins: one against No. 22 VCU and No. 49 Vanderbilt and two against No. 44 Rhode Island. Dayton is 11-4 against teams in the top 100, and its strength of schedule ranks 72nd.
