DAYTON — The Dayton Flyers didn’t take long to hire a men’s basketball strength and conditioning coach, announcing the return of Casey Cathrall to the position two days after Ed Streit announced he was leaving after one season for a job with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Cathrall worked for the Flyers in Anthony Grant’s first season (2017-18) and left for a job with the Miami Hurricanes last season.
Dayton also announced the following men’s basketball staff news.
• Andy Farrell is now the special assistant to the head coach and recruiting coordinator. He worked the last two years as director of scouting and program development.
• Brett Comer, a graduate assistant the last two seasons, is now the director of player development.
• Butler grad Khyle Marshall, who announced in June he was joining the staff, is a new graduate assistant.
