“I want to thank coach Grant and our administration for this wonderful opportunity,” Hertz said in a university release. “I can’t wait to get right to work in this new role! UD is a very special place and I look forward to helping our program continue to grow."
Hertz and Grant have a long association that goes back to the days both were assistants for Billy Donovan at Florida, where Hertz spent 19 years.

“Darren has been an invaluable member of our program over the past two years,” Grant said in the same team release. “He has a wealth of experience & a familiarity with our culture and style of play to go along with great work ethic, knowledge, and the ability to build and cultivate relationships.”
