Bengals look to bounce back after Monday night loss at Cleveland

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals are back home Sunday afternoon hosting the Carolina Panthers after losing Monday night to the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland.

The Bengals were outgained by Browns in total yards, 440 to 229. Cleveland ran for 172 yards, including 101 by Nick Chubb.

Cincinnati will be without wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase with a hip injury and defensive back Chidobe Awuzie is out for the season after suffering a torn ACL in Monday’s loss at Cleveland.

Other Bengals who will be missing Sunday’s game will be cornerback Mike Hilton and defensive tackle Josh Tupou, according to the team’s injury report.

Quarterback Joe Burrow enters Sunday’s game against the Panthers 372 passing yards shy of 10,000 for his career, according to the team’s website.

The Panthers enter Sunday’s game with a 2-6 record and are coming off an overtime loss at Atlanta.

Former XFL quarter P.J. Walker will make his fourth straight start playing for the injured Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold.

Carolina is expected to get running Chuba Hubbard back this week from ankle injury, the Associated Press reports.

Kickoff is 1 p.m. at Paycor Stadium.

The Browns are on a bye this week and will play at Miami on November 13.
