Wright State, Cedarville holding graduation ceremonies today

MIAMI VALLEY — After holding virtual ceremonies for the past three semesters, Wright State and Cedarville Universities will hold in-person commencement ceremonies for 2021 spring graduates today.

Nearly 1,900 students are expected to graduate from Wright State during their ceremonies, held tonight and Saturday. There are multiple ceremonies to help accommodate safety guidelines, according to Wright State.

Gov. Mike DeWine will deliver a message to graduates, via video, during the ceremony, according to the university.

“After a long and challenging year, I am looking forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our graduating students together with many of you,” university president Sue Edwards said in a March email to students.

Nearly 900 students will graduate from Cedarville University in three different ceremonies held tonight and Saturday.

Events will be livestreamed from both universities for those unable to attend.
