HAMILTON — UPDATE @ 3:15 p.m.:
Hamilton police are apologizing this afternoon for distributing incorrect information about a pedestrian fatality.
“We had received information from the Coroner’s office that the second victim from the fatal accident in Hamilton last night had died. We relayed that information as an update,” Hamilton Police Sgt. Brian Robinson said in a statement.
“We were just informed that we were given incorrect information and the second victim from the accident has NOT passed away. She is still in serious condition, but is still alive,” he said.
“We apologize greatly for the relaying incorrect information,” he said.
UPDATE @ 12:30 p.m.:
The second woman struck by a vehicle Thursday night in Hamilton has died, according to Hamilton Police Sgt. Brian Robinson.
Her identity has not been released.
UPDATE @ 12:15 p.m.:
A woman is dead and a man behind bars after two pedestrians were struck Thursday night in Hamilton.
Three people — a man pushing a baby in a stroller and two women — were walking west across Martin Luther King Boulevard at about 7:45 p.m. when both women were hit in the southbound lane, Hamilton Police Sgt. Brian Robinson told this news outlet.

“The man had just made it up on the curb when he heard the thud,” Robinson said.
Witnesses told police they saw a red truck hit the women.
While officers were at the scene, dispatchers received a call about a red truck pulled over near Pershing Avenue with heavy damage.
The driver of the truck, Steven James Rogers, 59, of Hamilton, was arrested and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault, two counts of possession of drugs and operation of a vehicle under the influence.
Rogers was in possession of methamphetamine and suboxone strips at the time of the crash, Robinson said.
He also has multiple traffic violations for driving with a suspended license, according to police.
Two medical helicopters were called to the scene and transported one of the women, who is in serious condition, to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, according to police.
The name of the deceased woman has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
One person is dead following a crash Thursday night in the 500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard, according to Sgt. Brian Robinson.
Two pedestrians were struck at about 7:50 p.m. Two medical helicopters were called to the scene.
Police confirmed today that one person has died.
