— With wind gusts up to 35 mph possible today, there’s an enhanced threat that outdoor fires could grow and spread, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini.
There was also an enhanced risk on Thursday when gusts were reaching up to 50 mph.
“People should not burn things outside today,” she said.
With the lack of green vegetation, lower humidity and strong winds, fires could spread quickly and grow. No outside burning is recommended again for today.
