Trucker cited in I-75 hit and run

A commercial truck driver was caught after allegedly fleeing from a traffic crash Thursday on Interstate 75.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a woman traveling north in a sport utility vehicle was hurt when a semi made an improper lane change and struck her vehicle.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. and it backed up traffic near the Northwoods exit on I-75 north. The woman was treated for minor injuries at the scene, according to troopers.

Troopers from the Piqua Post caught up with the truck driver about 30 miles north of where the crash occurred.

He will be cited for hit and run and an improper lane change.
