PIQUA — A man charged with kidnapping, rape and compelling prostitution denied the charges in Miami Municipal Court this morning.
Brian Clay Hawkins, 43, of Trotwood, was arrested Friday morning at a rest area near Piqua by an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper, WHIO’s Steve Baker reports.
The alleged victim was a female passenger in Hawkins’ vehicle at the rest area, according to court proceedings.
Hawkins entered pleas of not guilty and the judge set bond at $60,000 cash.
He remains an inmate at the Miami County Jail.
