ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A couple moving cross-country had their U-Haul, which contained $30,000 worth of their possessions, stolen in New Mexico.
College sweethearts Anna Hall and Kenyon Brown spent the night Monday at a Quality Inn in Albuquerque as they move from Minnesota to Los Angeles, KOAT reported.
When they awoke Tuesday, the U-Haul trailer with their furniture, all of their clothes and shoes, family mementos and supplies needed for their jobs had been stolen from the back of their car.
A value can't be put on some of the items that were stolen.
“I had an envelope of all the letters from (my grandfather) over the years,” Hall said. “Little knickknacks of our adventures together.”
“Pretty much our whole life that’s been created the past couple years has now been erased,” said Brown.
