TYLER, Texas — A Texas babysitter is behind bars after deputies said she left an infant alone for hours inside a bathroom closet.
According to the Tyler Morning Telegraph and KETK, Kelsey Paige Frazier, 26, of Tyler, was supposed to be watching the 11-month-old baby Oct. 3 when she left her apartment on County Road 2249 about 9:30 a.m. The girl, who was in a bouncer, remained unsupervised until one of Frazier’s friends discovered the baby crying in a bathroom closet three hours later, authorities said.
On Friday, Smith County sheriff’s deputies arrested Frazier on a child endangerment or abandonment charge, the news outlets reported. She is being held at the Smith County Jail on a $150,000 bond, according to the Morning Telegraph.
