MIAMI — An OnlyFans model and Instagram influencer accused of killing her boyfriend in April pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder charges on Wednesday.
An attorney for 26-year-old Courtney Clenney entered the plea in Miami-Dade Circuit Court, the Miami Herald reported. Clenney did not attend the arraignment and remained in jail at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to the newspaper.
Clenney was formally charged five days after arriving in South Florida after being extradited from Hawaii. She is accused of fatally stabbing Christian “Toby” Obumseli, 27, in a Miami luxury apartment on April 3.

Authorities said Clenney, who is known as Courtney Tailor to more than 2 million followers on social media, fatally stabbed Obumseli in the apartment they shared in the One Paraiso condominium building in Miami, WSVN-TV reported.
Police said that Obumseli was unarmed. Clenney claimed she had only thrown the knife from about 10 feet away, the Herald reported. However, investigators stated that Obumseli’s chest wound was simply too deep to have been caused by a blade thrown from the alleged distance.
Prosecutors claim that Clenney was the aggressor, saying she had a long history of attacking Obumseli, according to the newspaper. Prosecutors also played a video of Clenney repeatedly attacking Obumseli in an elevator two months before the killing, WPLG-TV reported.
Clenney’s attorneys countered by saying she was the victim of domestic abuse.
“We’re going to mount a vigorous defense in her favor,” attorney Frank Prieto told the Herald.
