Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman reunites with missing dog

BOSTON — Mylo has been found, and Aly Raisman is dancing for joy.

Raisman, a six-time Olympic medalist in gymnastics, was reunited with her dog a week after he ran away after being frightened by fireworks in Boston.

Raisman, 27, announced the dog’s return on social media Friday night in a tweet.

“HEROES!!!! MYLO IS SAFE. I HAVE HIM,” Raisman tweeted. She added two photos showing the dog with her and two people, identified in the social media post as Carla and Gayle.

Raisman reported the 35-pound brown dog was missing six days ago, according to The Associated Press. Raisman added that she would add more details about the rescue after spending more time with Mylo, the AP reported.

Raisman is a two-time Olympian, competing in the 2012 London Games and the 2016 Rio Games. She won three gold medals, two silvers and a bronze in Olympic competition. In 2016 she won gold in the team competition and silver in the floor exercises and all-around division. Four years earlier in London, Raisman won gold in team and floor exercises and bronze in the balance beam.

Raisman also served as captain for the U.S. women’s Olympic gymnastics teams in 2012 and 2016. In 2013, she finished fourth in the television competition “Dancing with the Stars.”
