Meghan, Prince Harry announce birth of second child

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry announced the birth of their second child, a daughter, on Sunday.

“It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world” a spokesperson for the couple said in a statement.

She weighed 7 pounds and 11 ounces when she was born at 11:40 a.m. Friday at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

“Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana,was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales,” the statement said.

Lili will be a sister to 2-year-old Archie Harrison.
