As medical personnel treated a man in Pittsburgh, a man hopped into their ambulance and drove away, police said.
WPXI reported that the incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Friday in the Mount Washington section of the city.
State police said Vincent Scrbacic, 32, of Irondale, Ohio, was under the influence of alcohol when he allegedly took the emergency vehicle.
The ambulance was eventually recovered after police used spike strips to deflate the front tires.

Scrbacic is facing charges including receiving stolen property, driving under the influence, fleeing and resisting arrest, WPXI reported.
