After months of delays, the reunion special on HBO Max will begin production at the show’s original soundstage at the Warner Bros. studio, People reported.

The core cast of the iconic sitcom -- Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer -- starred in the show from 1994 to 2004, earning a Golden Globe and 76 awards during its decade-long run.

Schwimmer, 54, who played Ross Geller on the series, announced the cast’s plan to pivot back into production during a video call on “The Graham Norton Show” on Friday and revealed that he’s days away from filming the show.

“After this (interview), I’m going to Los Angeles, we’re going to be shooting the ‘Friends’ reunion next week,” Schwimmer said. “I’m going to see everyone for the first time in many years.”

HBO Max declined to comment, according to People.

Schwimmer did not reveal many details about next week’s production, although he did say the cast will be appearing as themselves.

“There’s nothing scripted; we’re not in character,” Schwimmer said. “We are all ourselves, although there is one section of it that I don’t want to give away, but we all read something.”

The special was originally supposed to debut on HBO Max in May 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic made it impossible for the cast to film, Fox News reported.

Norton asked Schwimmer if he had been watching old episodes of the show to refresh his memory, according to People.

“I should have been doing that,” Schwimmer told the host. “And I really have very little excuse, but I haven’t been able to bring myself to catch up on the 236 episodes. I guess I need to watch a lot over the next five days.”
