Inclement weather was being blamed for multiple accidents on Interstate 75 south in Shelby County Friday.
A total of five separate accidents occurred from the 99 mile marker in Anna to the 66 mile marker in Sidney, officials said. There were no serious injuries.
In one of the more serious accidents, a semi truck without a trailer traveling south on I75 near the Fair Road exit in Shelby County went through a guardrail and down a steep embankment. The driver was trying to avoid an accident ahead, police said.
The accidents affected traffic briefly, but all lines are opened and traffic in the area was moving smoothly.
