Motorcyclist injured after striking deer in Clark Co.

State troopers said a motorcyclist was transported by CareFlight after hitting a deer on Selma Road in Clark County.

Troopers said the man was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred, and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash, according to troopers.

CareFlight has been requested to the scene of a motorcycle crash on Selma Road in Clark County early Sunday morning.

Medics and state troopers responded near the intersection of Selma and River roads in Pitchin around 1:15 a.m. on a reported single-vehicle crash motorcycle crash.

Initial reports indicate the operator was conscious, but suffered a head injury and was not responding to commands. CareFlight was requested by firefighters to transport the operator to the hospital.
