Head-on crash shuts down U.S. 127 in Preble Co.

The driver of the truck suffered a broken leg and was taken to the hospital, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Dayton Post.

The HHR driver, who did not have a valid driver’s license, was cited for causing the crash, according to the patrol.

The road was temporarily shut down as the Ford pickup was on its side against a telephone pole and the HHR landed near a tree line and railroad tracks.

State troopers and medics have responded to a reported head-on crash on U.S. 127 south of Eaton Monday morning.

Crews first responded to the crash around 6:45 a.m. Monday and have shut down traffic in both directions near Antioch Road according to initial reports.

Injuries were reported by responders, but the severity was not immediately known.
