GERMANTOWN — UPDATE @ 6:25 a.m.
Germantown police said one person suffered minor injuries after crashing into the front of the Florentine Restaurant on West Market Street Sunday morning.
The building suffered damage to a pillar holding up a balcony and some minor damage to the structure.
Potential causes and factors of the crash were unknown.
FIRST REPORT
Police and fire crews in Germantown have responded to reports of a car crashing into a restaurant on West Market Street.
Emergency units were dispatched around 5:25 a.m. to the Florentine Restaurant at 21 West Market Street in Germantown on a reported injury crash.
Initial reports indicate the vehicle hit the front of the building, but it was unknown if anyone was injured. It was also unclear how much damage was done to the building and vehicle.
