Traffic conditions are updated every 6 minutes on 1290 and 95.7 WHIO between 5 and 9 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Major Highway Incidents

  • On northbound I-75 near East Dixie Drive in West Carrollton, police were dispatched to a four-vehicle crash reported around 7:40 a.m. Heavy delays are reported past the state Route 725 exit. 

Surface Street Incidents

  • On Old Troy Pike near Needmore Road in Riverside, crews were dispatched to a crash reported around 8:05 a.m.
  • On U.S. 127 just south of North Star in Darke County, a crash was reported around 7:20 a.m.
  • On state Route 4 just north of Infirmary Road, a crash was reported around 5:55 a.m. Route 4 is closed at Infirmary Road.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

  • Albany Street between Campbell and Kirkham streets in Dayton, the road is closed for bridge work through Aug. 31. Barricades and detour signs are in place.
  • State Route 48 between North Village Drive in Centerville and Brookmount Road in Dayton, there will be nightly lane closures in both directions from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Jan. 31.
  • Third Street Bridge in Dayton, is closed through October 2021. The project will widen the bridge from four lanes to five and will provide wider sidewalks. More information is available in a presentation from Montgomery County.
  • U.S. 35 East ramp to I-75 South, there is a lane width restriction through Oct. 15. One eastbound lane remains open. 
  • On U.S. 40 in Vandalia, crews have starting milling on National Road for a major resurfacing project. Crews will resurface National Road from Airport Access Road to Brown School Road before the end of the year. Brown School Road will be resurfaced to the Taylorsville Dam in the spring. Allow extra time to get where you’re going as this project is underway. For more information, click here
  • Schantz Avenue Bridge over South Dixie Highway in Kettering, closed in April 2019 for complete replacement of the bridge and the retaining wall. The project was expected to take eight months. Detour signs are posted along the road. Drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes during peak traffic hours to avoid possible delays.
  • On Washington Street between U.S. 35 West exit and South Perry Street in Dayton, a major reconstruction project will block parts of Washington Street into 2020. Phase one of the project blocks westbound traffic starting at South Jefferson Street. Traffic from the U.S. 35 West exit ramp will be diverted north onto South Jefferson Street toward downtown Dayton. Drivers can access South Main and South Ludlow streets from West Fifth Street. 

BUTLER COUNTY

  • On I-75 South at the Butler-Hamiton county line, the slow-speed lane will be closed during  the late-night hours, from 11 p.m. Jan. 30 until approximately 1 a.m. Jan. 31 to repair the road and weather information sensor at the county line. This project is weather-contingent.

CLARK COUNTY

  • U.S. 40 West between Potee and Buena Vista roads, there will be daily lane closures from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Jan. 31.
  • U.S. 68 near I-70, lane closures will continue through July 30. One 12-foot lane will remain open in each direction.

PREBLE COUNTY

  • I-70 East at the Preble-Montgomery county line, the slow-speed lane will be closed between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Jan. 30 to repair the road and weather information sensor at the county line. This project is weather-contingent. 

SHELBY COUNTY

  • No current construction projects are scheduled by ODOT. 

AUGLAIZE COUNTY

  • No current construction projects are scheduled by ODOT. 

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY

  • No current construction projects are scheduled by ODOT. 

DARKE COUNTY

  • No current construction projects are scheduled by ODOT. 

GREENE COUNTY
