  • Albany Street between Campbell and Kirkham streets in Dayton, the road is closed for bridge work through Aug. 31. Barricades and detour signs are in place.
  • U.S. 35 between Broadway and Cincinnati streets in Dayton, there will be lane closures in both directions from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Feb. 24-Feb. 27.
  • U.S. 35 West to I-75 South ramp is closed from 7 p.m. March 1 through Oct. 15 for a bridge replacement. Detour: take I-75 N ramp, exit 53 (Second Street), turn left on Second Street, follow signs to I-75 South.
  • Third Street Bridge in Dayton, is closed through October 2021. The project will widen the bridge from four lanes to five and will provide wider sidewalks. More information is available in a presentation from Montgomery County.
  • U.S. 35 East ramp to I-75 South, there is a lane width restriction through Oct. 15. One 11-foot eastbound lane remains open on the ramp.
  • U.S. 40 in Vandalia, crews have starting milling on National Road for a major resurfacing project. Crews will resurface National Road from Airport Access Road to Brown School Road before the end of the year. Brown School Road will be resurfaced to the Taylorsville Dam in the spring. Allow extra time to get where you’re going as this project is underway. For more information, click here
  • Schantz Avenue Bridge over South Dixie Highway in Kettering, closed in April 2019 for complete replacement of the bridge and the retaining wall. The project was expected to take eight months. Detour signs are posted along the road. Drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes during peak traffic hours to avoid possible delays.
  • Washington Street between U.S. 35 West exit and South Perry Street in Dayton, a major reconstruction project will block parts of Washington Street into 2020. Phase one of the project blocks westbound traffic starting at South Jefferson Street. Traffic from the U.S. 35 West exit ramp will be diverted north onto South Jefferson Street toward downtown Dayton. Drivers can access South Main and South Ludlow streets from West Fifth Street. 


  • Springfield-Xenia Road at Leffel Lane, road closed in both directions from 7 p.m. Feb. 27 to 6 a.m. Feb. 28 for bridge work. Detour will be posted.
  • U.S. 68 near I-70, there will be lane closures through July 30. One 12-foot lane will remain open in each direction.


  • Park Street between Oak and North Wagner avenues, bridge closed through March 1. The detour is Park Street to Oak Avenue to North Wagner Avenue to Michigan Street to North Wagner Avenue to Park Street.


  • Lily Drive between Rose Road and Lilac Road in Deerfield Township, the road will be closed to remove an existing culvert and build a new bridge. Construction will continue for 10 weeks, weather permitting. The detour for the closure will utilize Old Mill Road, U.S. 22/state Route 3, Columbia Road, Davis Road, Primrose Drive, and Rose Road.
  • Interstate 71 North on the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge, there will be bridge work from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 7. Traffic will be shifted to two 10-foot lanes in the left shoulder and passing lane. The bridge will be reduced to one lane temporarily. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph. Work is weather contingent.

  • Highmont Street, just west of 3696 Highmont Street, is closed with an indefinite time frame due to a collapse in the roadway.
