Cold, warm cycle starts season of water main breaks

Cold temperatures could be to blame for two reported water main breaks in the area.

Police in Jefferson Township have requested water crews to respond to the intersection of Tenshaw Drive and Germantown Pike after a break was reported around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, Trotwood police spotted a break in the 5100 block of Gardendale Avenue around 2:30 a.m. and reported some of the water freezing on the road.

So far there have been no reports of any road closures due to the breaks.
