Pop-up storms return to Miami Valley

DETAILED FORECAST

Overnight: Skies will be partly cloudy and the weather will be warm and muggy as temperatures settle around 70 by morning, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said.

Wednesday: It will be partly cloudy, muggy and hot. Highs will reach the upper 80s, with heat index values well into the 90s. It will be breezy, with some dry time during the day. Scattered thunderstorms are possible, especially late in the day. A few may become strong with gusty winds and heavy rain.

Thursday: Partly cloudy skies and warm in the middle 80s. Scattered storms will develop, with some stronger. Wind and heavy rain will be the main threats.

Friday: Clouds will break for some sun, but there is a chance for a pop-up shower or storm. It will not be as muggy but still warm in the low to mid-80s.

Saturday: It will be cooler around 80 and not as muggy.

Sunday: Mostly sunny skies and seasonably warm. Highs will reach the mid-80s.
