OVI Task Force to operate sobriety checkpoint in Dayton this Friday

DAYTON — The Combined OVI Task Force of Montgomery County will operate a sobriety checkpoint in Dayton on May 22 at a location that will be announced that day.

Enhanced weekend patrols are an effort of law enforcement agencies to deter and apprehend impaired drivers.

Dayton Police officers, along with officers from the Combined Agency Task Force will conduct the checkpoint.

Law enforcement officers, both locally and nationally, will also be looking for drivers not wearing their seat belts.

The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign is underway.
