A fire started in a van and spread to a home in Troy early this morning.
A father, three boys and another adult were able to escape the home on South Elm Street unharmed.
The man said he heard a crackling sound around 5:30 a.m. and went outside to find his vehicle on fire.
The flames spread and damaged the home.
No one was hurt.
The Red Cross has been called to help the family.
