A parent’s car caught fire in the parking lot of Bethel Elementary School this morning.
The four-door sedan is a total loss, according to Bethel Twp. firefighters.
No one was hurt.
Crews were called to the school around 9 a.m. They say the car was parked and the parent was planning to go on a field trip with students.
The fire started in the engine and was possibly electrical, according to firefighters. iWitness 7 contributor Bob Shadowens caught the fire on video while in the parking lot.
A second vehicle was also damaged.
