Dayton police looking for hit-and-run suspect

Police are looking for the driver who committed a hit-and-run at Rosedale Drive and West Riverview Avenue that sent a woman in her 60s to a hospital.

The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton Sgt. Andrew Gillig said.

Gillig said she was in the crosswalk headed north on Rosedale when a white Chevy Impala moving in the same direction turned left onto Riverview, hit her and didn’t stop.

The accident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. during a period of heavy rain as storms moved through the region.
