— The venue is set, and after the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots won overtime games on the road, the two teams will meet in Atlanta in Super Bowl LIII.
Playing in the Super Bowl is nothing new for the Patriots -- it’s the ninth time in 18 seasons that they are the AFC champion. For the Rams, it’s been a 17-year drought.
The game is a rematch of Super Bowl XXXVI. In that game, played in 2002, the Patriots upset the then-St. Louis Rams, who were favored by two touchdowns.

What channel: Super Bowl LIII will be televised by CBS and streamed here.
Who will play in Super Bowl LIII: The Rams and the Patriots will be playing in Super Bowl LIII.
Who are the coaches: Bill Belichick, 66, is the Patriots head coach. Sean McVay, 33, is the Rams coach. This is Belichick's 12th Super Bowl appearance, counting his years as an assistant coach. If the Rams win, McVay will become the youngest coach to win the Super Bowl.
Where will it be played: The game will be played in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The stadium was opened in 2017 and is the home of the Atlanta Falcons.
Halftime show: Maroon 5 along with Travis Scott and Big Boi will perform during the halftime show. Maroon 5 has sold more than 53 million albums and 48 million singles. Scott has three platinum albums and Big Boi has six Grammys and has sold 25 million albums. Gladys Knight will sing the national anthem.
