ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando family’s dog took matters into his own hands -- err, mouth -- and tried to get rid of Sam, the Thelen family’s Elf on the Shelf.
Aubrie was traumatized by the elf-icide, so mom Jenn had to make things right.
Jenn, luckily is the nurse manager at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children’s emergency room.
She told her daughter that the hospital had “special doctors” that could put Sam back together again.
The medical team rolled Sam into the trauma bay, and used expired medical supplies to get Sam back in one piece.
But there was a slight problem.
As anyone who has adopted an Elf knows, no one can touch Santa’s spies, or they’ll lose their magic.
So, the team wore “magic gloves” so they wouldn’t touch Sam and rid him of his magic.
They then sprinkled “Christmas magic” -- in reality glitter -- on Sam to make sure he had enough magic to heal and get through the rest of the season.
Sam went back home after his day at the hospital, and the Thelens say he’s being kept out of dog Zoey’s reach.

— They’re known for beating the bad guys and saving the world on the big screen, but the cast of the “Avengers: Infinity War” showed off their lesser-known group talents - singing.
On “The Tonight Show” Wednesday, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Pratt led their respective teams in their take on the classic “Brady Bunch” theme song, called “The Marvel Bunch.”
You’ll notice, Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Chris Evans (Captain America) on Iron Man’s side. With Pratt (Star Lord) leading Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther).
Tom Hiddleston (Loki) takes the coveted center square, egging on Hemsworth.

WASHINGTON — An amazing feat of strength was caught on camera.
Four people were hurt when they were hit by a car that crashed on a sidewalk in Washington, D.C. Tuesday. Police said a pickup hit a sedan when it took a turn too wide, WJLA reported. The sedan jumped the curb and ran into pedestrians.
But it was the actions of bystanders that is what people are focusing on. They rushed to the car to try to pull the pedestrians from under the wreckage. The group of people actually lifted and moved the car off two people and the entire thing was caught on video, WJLA reported.

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Police have released new surveillance video that shows how a 12-year-old boy became stuck underwater for more than nine minutes at a resort in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, last month.
>> Click here to watch the footage (WARNING: Graphic)
In the video, two boys can be seen playing near a 6-inch-wide suction pipe on the floor of the Avista Resort Hotel’s lazy river.
The boys were able to remove the safety grate from the pipe, and the 12-year-old repeatedly dove down to explore the pipe.
On one dive, the boy got his leg stuck and grasped the top of the grate to pull himself out. His friend tried to help him but couldn't, so he called for help.
That’s when several adults jumped into the water and tried to pull the boy out, but he remained stuck. Police said one of the men knew how to perform underwater mouth-to-mouth aid, and that helped keep the boy alive until emergency personnel arrived.
Officers quickly lifted the boy out of the river and began to perform CPR before rushing him to the hospital.

— Krispy Kreme is offering its signature doughnuts with lemon glaze, but only for a week.
Participating shops of the doughnut chain are offering the flavor from April 23 to April 29. The glaze was one of four options customers could vote for. The others, Food and Wine reported, were caramel, maple and blueberry.
According to a news release, the #VoteForGlaze campaign pulled in nearly 2 million votes. Maple had 18 percent of the vote, while blueberry had 20 percent and caramel was second with had 26 percent.
Depending on the success of the limited run, Krispy Kreme could sell the lemon-glazed doughnuts seasonally, Food and Wine reported.
“Experimenting with the many flavor profiles lemon presents to create an all-new lemon glaze was a fun, but serious culinary challenge,” Jackie Woodward, Krispy Kreme’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “There has been so much anticipation and zest for the new Lemon Glaze Doughnut, we can’t wait to share the joy with our fans!”
