Can the party unify?
Monday is going to be all about trying for party unity, and if Sunday gave any hints it is going to be tough.
Bernie Sanders has a lot of delegates in the Wells Fargo Center Monday night and his speech is going to set the tone for what his millions of supporters do next.
Do they get on board with Hillary Clinton, or not?
The Sanders supporters out in force in Philadelphia Sunday don’t look eager to join Clinton.
On Sunday the party had a lot of late drama as Democratic National Committee emails were leaked showing how the party planned to stop Sanders’ rise during the primary. Some even hinted that his religion could be made an issue.
The scandal forced DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz to announce that she’s stepping down once the convention is over.
We’ll talk to Ohio delegates all day Monday to see how this develops and get reaction to Sanders speech. Before Sanders though, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren will give the keynote address tonight.
Michelle Obama speaks
The final speaker Monday night will be first lady Michelle Obama. Will this be her last major speech or set the stage for the next chapter as she prepares to leave the White House in January.
Ohioan takes over convention roll
In addition to stepping down as DNC chair after the convention, Wasserman Schultz is also stepping down as chair of the current convention.
