TROY — The annual Miami County July 4 parade will be held as usual this year in downtown Troy as the Independence Day Celebration Association and the Miami Valley Veterans Museum have decided to move forward in holding the event.
This year's theme is "Keeping America Safe" and will honor veterans and all who have put their lives on the line to fight the coronavirus: nurses, doctors, aides, paramedics and all those serving in the medical field.
The parade is seeking all types of units to take part, especially veterans and military groups. Call 937-339-4338 by June 15 to register. Veterans will be provided a car to ride in.
Social distancing will be observed, and while mask wear is not required, it is recommended.
