MONROE — A Middletown man apparently died doing what he loved.
Gage M. Neanover, a motorcycle enthusiast, was killed around 5:30 a.m. Friday when he crashed his motorcycle into the back of a parked vehicle in the 200 block of Hollytree Drive.
He died of traumatic head injury and his death was ruled an accident, according to the Butler County Coroner’s Office.
On Neanover’s Facebook page, there are several pictures of him riding a motorcycle. Neanover, 23, graduated from Edgewood High School, according to his Facebook page.
Monroe police are investigating the fatal accident and haven’t released what may have caused Neanover to wreck his motorcycle. The posted speed limit in the neighborhood is 25 mph
The accident occurred in the Colonial Manor Square subdivision off Ohio 63. One woman who lives on Hollytree said she believes Neanover lived in the neighborhood.
The woman whose Honda CRV was struck said she was coming home from work when she saw Monroe police officers in front of her home. She was told they were investigating a fatal accident, she said.
“It’s so sad,” the woman said Friday morning.
The back window of a vehicle parked on the street was smashed out, and the woman said glass was cleaned up.
